About Alicia

Alicia has been in the field of early childhood for over 25 years. In that time she has earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, with an emphasis in children from birth to age eight. She has worked with children, teachers, parents, administrators, and family child care providers.

Over time she has developed reliability in the Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale, worked and trained others in the use of the Desired Results Developmental Profile, and the High Scope Curriculum. She has also gained experience and familiarity with Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE), Creative Curriculum, and the philosophy that is the foundation of Conscious Discipline.
